SAN ANGELO, Texas (Sept. 26, 2023) – For their third Lone Star Conference match of the season, the Texas Woman's volleyball team heads to San Angelo, Texas to face Angelo State at 6 p.m.
TWU (10-3, 2-0) went undefeated in the opening weekend of the LSC, defeating St. Mary's and St. Edward's. ASU (12-2, 2-0) also won both of their matches in the opening weekend of conference play, sweeping Western New Mexico and UT Permian Basin.
This will mark the Pioneers' third road game of their conference schedule, and the Rambelles first home game since Sat., Sept. 2.

READY FOR THE RAMBELLES
- A LOOK AT ASU: The Rambelles currently hold the best overall record in the LSC at 12-2. They lost back-to-back matches on Sept. 9 and Sept. 14. On Sept. 9, the Rambelles fell to Southwestern Oklahoma State in four sets. Then, they opened the LSC Crossover with a five set loss to Texas A&M – Kingsville. They are currently on a four game win streak and have not played at home since Sept. 2. ASU currently ranks first in the LSC in points, averaging 17.7 per set, first in the LSC in hitting percentage (.261), first in assists (13.88 per set) and first in kills (14.47 per set).
- A FAMILIAR FOE: The Pioneers and the Rambelles have met 61 times. ASU holds the advantage in the all-time record, 18-43. At home, the Pioneers are 12-14, while on the road, they are 5-18. In 2022, the Pioneers fell to the Rambelles in four sets in KMA. TWU has not won in San Angelo, Texas, since 2009.
- PROUD PIONEERS: TWU currently ranks second in the LSC and 22nd in Division II in hitting percentage (.248). Additionally, they also rank third in the LSC and are tied for 18th in Division II in kills per set, averaging 13.67. Cara Pool currently ranks first in the LSC and seventh in DII in hitting percentage, hitting .412 on the season. In aces, Grace Reynolds ranks third in the LSC in aces per set (0.43).
