SILVER CITY, N.M. (Oct. 11, 2024) – The Texas Woman's volleyball team will head to New Mexico for their match on Saturday, as they face Western New Mexico in a Lone Star Conference meeting.
TWU (10-5, 3-2) will meet WNMU (6-11, 2-3) on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. CST.
Most recently, the Pioneers defeated UT Permian Basin on Thursday night in four sets. The Mustangs faced Midwestern State on Thursday and won in five sets.

- HISTORY: The Pioneers are 9-3 all-time against the Mustangs. TWU is currently on a six-game win streak against WNMU. On the road, TWU is 2-2 and, in LSC play, the Pioneers are 8-2. The Pioneers last six wins against the Mustangs have been sweeps.
- A LOOK AT THE MUSTANGS: WNMU is currently hitting .171 on the season and allowing their opponents to hit .207. They are averaging 10.3 assists per set on 11.4 kills per set. They also average 1.7 aces per set and 1.5 blocks per set. No. 2 Jazmyne Walker leads the Mustangs in kills per set, averaging 3.20 per set. No. 6 Jade Rampton leads WNMU in blocks with 26 total blocks on the season.
- A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU is averaging 13.8 kills per set, and Tori Woods leads the Pioneers with 3.10 kills per set. They are hitting .230 on the season, which ranks seventh in the LSC. TWU ranks fourth in the LSC in assists per set, 12.52, and fourth in kills, 13.82 per set. The Pioneers also rank fourth in digs per set, averaging 17.15 per set. In blocks, TWU ranks eighth with 1.7 per set.
