DALLAS (Oct. 23, 2024) – The Dallas Baptist Patriots achieved a shutout victory against the Pioneers on Wednesday night, defeating TWU 3-0 in Dallas. DBU came out strong, building on an early 1-0 lead with two additional goals to secure the win.
DBU (9-0-3, 6-0-2) dominated the game, unleashing 19 shots, with eight on target, while TWU (7-3-3, 3-2-3) managed only three shots throughout the match.

'14: The Patriots started fast and jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead on the Pioneers before the 15 minute mark.

'24: DBU added onto their early 1-0 lead with another goal in the first half from a header to extend their lead to 2-0.

'48: Dallas Baptist went on to top off their offensive attack with their third and final goal of the match to rout TWU in the 3-0 shutout.

"Obviously disappointed with the result tonight but we will learn from it," Head Coach Babak Abouzar said. "We played a really good opponent today and had some moments of effective possession. We just need to do a better job of going forward with it. We will rest up and get ready for a crucial home game Saturday."
