DENTON, Texas (Dec. 3, 2024) - The Texas Woman's basketball team is set to play their second Lone Star Conference game against Midwestern State on Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. They will also play against Lubbock Christian on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. in their final home game of 2024.
Coming off of their first loss of the season on Nov. 23, TWU (7-1, 0-1) bounced back from their defeat, as they won their last game against Central Oklahoma, 83-75 on Nov. 27.
Similarly, Midwestern State (2-5, 0-1) won their last game against UT Dallas by 34 points, 76-42.
Additionally, No. 4/2 Lubbock Christian (8-0, 2-0) won their last game against Southwestern Oklahoma State, 67-59.

DEFEND HOME COURT
- A LOOK AT THE MUSTANGS: Securing their second win of the season in their game against UTD, forward Zarria Carter grabbed her fifth double-double of the season with 22 points and 18 rebounds. MSU also has two other players that scored in double digits as Emillia Steele scored 17 points and Kerbie Cash added 13 points. MSU also held UTD to a three-point shooting percentage of .231 and grabbed 16 steals. This ultimately led to MSU ending their three-game losing streak.
- A LOOK AT THE LADY CHAPS: The Lady Chaps currently rank No. 4 in the WBCA Top 25 Poll and No. 2 in the D2CSC Media National poll. LCU is currently on an eight game win streak, after coming back from a 12-point deficit against SWOSU. In their game against SWOSU, forward Grace Foster dropped 30 points, securing her fourth double-double of the season with 12 rebounds. This is the third time her career high of 30 points has been matched. Similarly to MSU, two other players scored in the double digits as Maci Maddox secured 11 points while Audrey Robertson added 10. LCU also gained 45 rebounds in their last game. The Lady Chaps will play again before their game with the Pioneers as they face UT Tyler on Wednesday.
- A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: As the Pioneers are now ranked No. 2 and No. 12 in the WBCA Top 25 Poll and the D2CSC Media National Poll, TWU made history in their game against UCO. Scout Huffman secured 1,000 career points; because of this, Huffman has become the 13th Pioneer to reach 1,000 points. Additionally, Ashley Ingram now ranks second in points and rebounds in TWU program history. Leila Patel also dished out a career high of eight assists. The Pioneers overall matched their season high points in the paint with 46. The Pioneers look for two keys wins in LSC action this week against MSU and LCU.
