Fort Smith, Ark. (Feb. 3, 2024) – The Texas Woman's basketball team continues their road trip at University of Arkansas – Fort Smith on Saturday afternoon.
TWU (19-3, 13-1) are looking for their 20th win of the season against UAFS (8-12, 6-8) and 14th Lone Star Conference win of the season.
On Thursday, the Pioneers defeated Oklahoma Christian, 78-60, to record their ninth straight win and ninth straight win by 10 or more points.
UAFS, at home on Thursday, defeated UT Tyler in explosive fashion, 73-47. With UT Tyler's loss, the Pioneers move to No. 1 in LSC with only one loss in conference action.

- HISTORY: The Pioneers have met the Lions five times over the course of history and have won four of those five meetings. Most recently, the Pioneers met UAFS on Jan. 4, 2024 in Kitty Magee Arena. TWU won the meeting, 77-59. In the game, TWU was led by Ashley Ingram with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Leila Patel finished with 17 points, and Ariyanna Hines scored 11. In the game, the Pioneers also forced the Lions to turn the ball over 26 times – marking a season high opponent turnover mark, the most turnovers TWU has forced since the 2019-20 season and a season-high for the Lions. TWU opened the game with 28 points in the first quarter.
- DEFEND THE THREE: The Lions currently rank second in the LSC in team three point percentage, shooting 34% from beyond the arc. On the other side, the Pioneers rank third in the LSC in lowest opponent three point field goal percentage, holding their opponent to 28.3% from beyond the arc.
- ASSIST/TURNOVERS: The Pioneers rank second in the LSC in assist to turnover ratio with a 1.02 ratio. UAFS ranks 14th in assist to turnover ratio with a 0.63. TWU will look to share the wealth and limit turnovers in their game on Saturday.
