NORMAN, Okla. (Feb. 9, 2024) – After two meets at home, the Texas Woman's gymnastics team goes on the road Friday night.
TWU will compete in a quad meet, hosted by the University of Oklahoma, which will feature TWU, OU, BYU and Utah State.
Most recently, the Pioneers competed against Missouri at home in Kitty Magee Arena and scored a season high 195.475 and set a new program record on floor of 49.375.
The Pioneers will look to continue their record-breaking performances on Friday night in Norman, Okla.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN

- ROAD TRIP: The Pioneers are back on the road after competing in two meets at home. Since being at home, the Pioneers have set a season high team score of 195.475. TWU's last time in Norman was Feb. 6, 2022. In that meet, the Pioneers scored a 194.775. Last season, TWU and OU met in Denton, and TWU scored a 195.075. TWU has not competed against BYU and Utah State since 2018. The Pioneers currently rank 55th in the nation overall - 53rd on vault, 52nd on bars, 61st on beam and 50th on floor.
- FABULOUS FLOOR: Last week, in their home meet against Missouri, the Pioneers set a new program record on floor with a team total of 49.375. TWU broke the record set in 2015. Two Pioneers - Daisy Woodring and Sophie Hernandez - matched the Pioneers' individual record on floor of 9.950.
- THREE RECORDS: In four meets, the Pioneers have set three new program records. In their season opener, TWU set a new record for highest team score in a season opener 193.775. Then, they followed it up with a new team record in a home opener - 194.700. Most recently, against Missouri, they set the new floor record mark.
