DENTON, Texas (March 7, 2024) - Texas Permian Basin is the next opponent for the Texas Woman's softball team, who are set to host another Lone Star Conference series at home.
The doubleheader will be played on Friday, March 8 at 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 9, the lone game of the series is set to start at noon. All games will be played at Dianne Baker Field.
TWU (11-13, 9-6) recently dropped all three games in their last LSC series against West Texas A&M. They will meet UTPB (4-17, 1-11), who recorded their first LSC win on Saturday, March 2 against Midwestern State.

FIRST PITCH
- HISTORY: The Pioneers have met the Falcons 25 times. TWU is 22-3 all-time against UTPB. TWU dropped the only three games in program history against UTPB in 2021 and 2022. At home the Pioneers are 12-1 all-time. In the last LSC series between these two teams, the Pioneers took the series 3-0 in Odessa, Texas.
- BATS ON FIRE: In their last two games against the Falcons, the Pioneers recorded 13 and 16 runs, and 18 hits in each game. Alyssa LeBlanc recorded 6 home runs that weekend in Odessa.
- STRONG PITCHING: For the Pioneers, Alyssa LeBlanc currently ranks third in the LSC in batters struck out with 80, while first and second place have 83 and 82 respectively. Jayce Hall ranks 16th in that same list with 34 strikeouts. LeBlanc is also one of only six LSC pitchers who have only allowed one home run this season.
