SAN ANGELO, Texas (Sept. 28, 2024) – The Texas Woman's soccer team falls to Angelo State on the road and suffers their first Lone Star Conference loss. TWU's win streak ends at four games and now has a 3-1 record on the road.
TWU (4-2-0) gave up an early score in the first half to ASU (3-1-2) in the 16th minute and then another Rambelle goal in the 39th minute to put the game away and give the Pioneers the 2-0 loss.

"As disappointed as we are with today's result we won't let this early season conference game define us," Head Coach Babak Abouzar said. "As a team we know we need to do a better job on some small things that will make a big difference in the game. We will recover tomorrow and get back to work on Monday for our home conference opener."

TWU will look to bounce back next Wednesday, Oct. 2 @ 7 p.m. at Pioneer Soccer Park versus Midwestern State on Faculty and Staff appreciation night.
Following Wednesday's matchup, the Pioneers will take on St. Edward's in Austin, Texas on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
