DENTON, Texas (Jan. 20, 2025) – In their fourth season of competition, the Texas Woman's artistic swimming team aims to continue to make history and build their legacy.
"We have put careful thought into building a competitive and well-balanced season that will challenge our team while also setting them up for success," TWU Head Coach
Barb Nesbitt Ng said. "Each competition has been strategically scheduled to ensure our athletes continue to grow, refine their performances, and build momentum toward our ultimate goal—the U.S. Collegiate Championships this March."
Last season, the Pioneers finished in third at U.S. Collegiate Nationals, marking the highest team finish by TWU in program history.
On their way to U.S. Collegiate Nationals in 2025, the Pioneers will compete in four meets.
TWU will start their season off in Los Angeles, Calif. Against UCLA on Jan. 26-27. Then, the Pioneers will travel to University of the Incarnate Word for a Tri Meet against UIW and Ohio State on Feb. 8-9.
Following their trip to UIW, the Pioneers will go on the road to Wheaton College to compete in the 2025 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Conference Championships. TWU will compete against Wheaton, UIW and Stanford on Feb. 15-16.
TWU will host the South Regional Championships in the Pioneer Hall Pool on March 2 against Richmond, UIW and Florida. The Pioneers will also celebrate Senior Day at this meet.
Prior to traveling to Nationals, the Pioneers will also host a TWU Exhibition in the Pioneer Hall Pool so fans can cheer the Pioneers on one last time before going to U.S. Collegiate Nationals.
The season will culminate with U.S. Collegiate Nationals on March 27-29 in Ypsilanti, Mich. at Michael H. Jones Natatorium at Eastern Michigan.
"I can't wait to see the team rise each event and showcase their hard work throughout the season," Head Coach Nesbitt Ng said.
