RICHARDSON, Texas (Oct. 14, 2025) – Following a perfect 2-0 weekend in Kitty Magee Arena, in which both matches were sweeps, senior PIN hitter Tori Woods was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week. 

This marks Woods first LSC honor of the season and first of her career. 

"Tori had a phenomenal week offensively for us," said TWU Head Coach Jessica Ransom. "She has been working hard to get back into the flow of things after an injury, so its great to see her hard work pay off."

Woods helped guide the Pioneers to two sweeps in KMA. On Friday, in their win over Sul Ross State, Woods finished with 12 kills in the win on zero errors and hit .444. She finished with a season-high tying three aces. Additionally, Woods added 12 digs, marking her second double-double of the season. Woods followed Friday's performance with another great day in the victory over Western New Mexico. In back-to-back matches, Woods finished with zero errors. On Saturday, she added nine kills and hit .333. Additionally, she recorded eight digs and three aces. Across the weekend, Woods hit .389 and a near perfect serve receive, .971%.

The honor marks the Pioneers third overall LSC Player of the Week honor of the season. 

TWU heads on the road this week for two conference match-ups, as they meet St. Edward's and St. Mary's.
