SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Feb. 7, 2025) – The Texas Woman's basketball team continues their road trip on Saturday afternoon with a game against St. Mary's.
TWU (22-1, 15-1) will meet StMU (11-10, 7-8) for the second time this season.
Most recently, the Pioneers met St. Edward's on Thursday night and defeated the Hilltoppers 69-52. On the other side, the Rattlers faced UT Tyler and fell by three points, 54-51.
The two teams will meet in Bill Greehey Arena at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.

ROAD TRIP VS. THE RATTLERS
- A LOOK AT THE RATTLERS: Last night against, No. 7 UT Tyler, StMU held UT Tyler to just five points in the opening quarter of action and seven points in the third quarter, which kept them close throughout the game. The Rattlers out-rebounded the Patriots 42-34. However, StMU did commit 25 turnovers on the night, which led to 20 UT Tyler points. No. 24 Christin Callens led the way for StMU with 22 points. She was the only Rattler in double-digits.
- LAST MEETING: The Pioneers and the Rattlers last met on the snow day, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. in Kitty Magee Arena. TWU claimed the win, 49-40. TWU had two quarters under 10 points, and StMU had one. The Pioneers had 30 points in the paint and 28 points off of 21 StMU turnovers. Ashley Ingram led the way with 22 points, and Scout Huffman finished with 11 points. TWU also went a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. TWU also dished out 15 assists in the win.
- BATTLE OF TOP 5 DEFENSES: The Pioneers hold their opponents to shooting 34% from the field, which ranks second in the LSC. On the other side, StMU holds their opponents to shooting 35.3% from the field, which ranks fourth in the LSC. However, the Rattlers do commit a lot of turnovers on the offensive end, so the defense for TWU will be key.
