DENTON, Texas (March 18, 2025) - The Texas Woman's softball team (14-10, 10-10) will wrap up its 10-game home stretch tomorrow when it faces Oklahoma Baptist (16-12, 11-3) at Dianne Baker Field for Pack the House and Faculty & Staff Night.

The Pioneers aim to finish their home stretch strong in this non-conference matchup against the Bison from the Great American Conference. This weekend's games will mark the fifth and sixth meetings between TWU and OBU. In their last meeting at Dianne Baker Field in 2022, Oklahoma Baptist swept the Pioneers 2-0 in their series. However, in the two games prior to that series, the Pioneers defeated the Bison, evening the all-time series at 2-2.

FINISH HOME STAND ON GOOD NOTE

  • A LOOK AT THE BISON: Oklahoma Baptist is currently ranked third in the GAC standings. Most recently, they claimed a 2-1 series victory over conference opponent Henderson State on March 14. The Bison will look to carry that momentum into their road matchup with TWU in an attempt to gain an advantage over a LSC opponent.

  • A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: Texas Woman's University stands ninth in the LSC with a solid 12-8 conference record. The Pioneers are coming off back-to-back splits against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International this past weekend. Before hitting the road for upcoming away games, they hope to deliver a strong performance for the home crowd and aim for a series sweep.

The Pioneers will take on OBU at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. tomorrow, March 19, at Dianne Baker Field in Denton, Texas.
