DENTON, Texas (April 10, 2025) - The Texas Woman's softball team (17-19, 13-17 LSC) returns to Dianne Baker Field this weekend for a home series against the visiting Saints—St. Mary's (21-22, 16-16 LSC) and St. Edward's (24-18, 18-14 LSC).
The Pioneers will look to build on their previous success against St. Mary's after sweeping the Rattlers in a two-game road series in March. This weekend marks the 60th and 61st all-time meetings between TWU and StMU, with the Rattlers leading the series 37-22.
Sunday's doubleheader against St. Edward's will be the 53rd and 54th meetings between the two programs. In their last series on March 29, the Hilltoppers claimed wins in both games.

A LOOK AT THE RATTLERS: The Rattlers currently sit eighth in the Lone Star Conference standings. In their most recent series against local rival St. Edward's, StMU went 1-3, earning a split at home on Friday before dropping both games on Sunday. They've struggled of late, losing five of their last six, and will look to turn things around in Denton.

A LOOK AT THE HILLTOPPERS: The Hilltoppers are in fifth place in the LSC and have posted a 3-3 record over their last six games. SEU aims to continue climbing the conference standings during a critical weekend, which includes games against both TWU and UT Tyler.

A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU enters the weekend ranked 11th in the LSC with a 13-17 conference record. The Pioneers are looking to bounce back after a midweek sweep by UT Tyler on Tuesday.Offensively, Hawwa Townsend is tied for fifth in the conference with 14 doubles, while Marissa Espinoza ranks ninth in stolen bases with 11. In the circle, Allison Gonzalez and Randi Crawford both rank among the LSC's top 15 in ERA, opponents' batting average, and strikeouts.
The Pioneers are set to take on StMU on Friday, April 11 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and SEU on Sunday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Dianne Baker Field in Denton, Texas.
