DENTON, Texas (Jan. 15, 2026) – After a record-breaking season opener in Kitty Magee Arena, the Texas Woman's gymnastics team is back in KMA tomorrow night.
No. 25 TWU opened their season with a win over Pitt with a season opener and home opener team record of 195.575. Tomorrow night, at 7 p.m., the Pioneers meet No. 12 Denver and No. 26 Arizona.
HOME SWEET HOME
- Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The first 250 fans will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of Groggy Dog, so make sure to arrive early.

- Tomorrow night is Club Gym Day! All club gymnasts can receive discounted tickets to tomorrow night's meet. Click here to register for Club Gym Day! The gym clubs with the largest attendance will get a shoutout during the meet and after the meet on social media.

- A LOOK AT DENVER: Denver currently ranks 12th in the nation. They opened their season with a win at home over Stanford with the Pioneers scoring a 196.575. Denver currently ranks third on floor, 13th on vault, 14th on beam and 23rd on bars. Their event score on floor was a 49.425, but they scored a 49 or higher on all four events. Their leader on floor was Cecilia Cooley, who scored a 9.975, which marks the current highest individual floor score in the NCAA.
- A LOOK AT ARIZONA: Arizona opened their season with a win at home over Washington with a 195.425, which ranks 26th in the nation. Their highest event score came on floor with a 49.250 – their only 49 or higher on an event. Emma Strom led the GymCats with a 9.925, and Hillary Puleo scored a 9.900. Their second highest event score was on vault with a 48.850. Ainsley Greever claimed the event title for Arizona with a 9.825.
- TDUB TIME: While the Pioneers currently rank 25th overall, they also rank in the Top 25 in three events: bars, beam and floor. Their highest ranking comes on bars at No. 17. Brooke Ferrari, who claimed the MIC Co-Performance of the Week honor, claimed the event title and led TWU with a 9.900 in the opening meet. The Pioneers rank 20th on floor. Kyleigh Ghanbari led the Pioneers and won a share of the event title with a 9.900. Finally, TWU ranks 24th on beam. Sophia Isbell tied for the event title and lead the Pioneers with a 9.850 on beam. TWU will look to build upon their strong start last week and set new records. TWU's highest score against Denver came in 2025 at Denver, Colo. with a 194.200, while their highest score against Arizona was in 2024 at home in KMA with a 195.725.
