DENTON, Texas (Jan. 30, 2026) - Texas Woman's Wrestling heads to Colorado Springs this weekend to compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Wrestling Championships, hosted at the United States Air Force Academy.
The championship tournament brings together the league's top competitors as the Pioneers aim to secure key victories and position themselves for postseason advancement. With every bout carrying added weight, TWU enters the weekend focused on executing at a high level and making a statement on the conference stage.

All spectators must complete the required visitor registration form prior to arrival. International spectators must visit the Base Pass and Registration Office (PRO) at the South Gate to receive a paper pass.
A LOOK BACK
TWU enters the RMAC Championships following a strong showing in their most recent competition in Chadron, Nebraska. The Pioneers posted a 2-1 record in RMAC duals, defeating Adams State and Minot State before a narrow loss to host Chadron State.
The success continued into the Chadron Open, where five Pioneers placed in the top five of their respective weight classes. Maegan Flaherty and freshman Samaria Barnett each captured their first tournament titles of the season, finishing 4-0 on the day. Kitana Leofatato and Poorna Babu both added a runner-up finish, while Mackenzie Blue placed third at 145. Several wrestlers, including Brooke Zejada and Barnett, delivered standout performances in dual competition, anchoring the Pioneers' strong showing.
With multiple athletes performing at peak form, TWU heads into the RMAC Championships confident and ready to compete for conference honors.
