DENTON, Texas (Jan. 6, 2026) – For the first time in program history, two Texas Woman's volleyball players were named
American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans.
After receiving AVCA All-Region honors,
Alyssa Rojo and
Tori Woods both received AVCA All-America Honorable Mention honors. This marks the first All-American awards for the Pioneers since 2023.
"I'm so proud of Tori and Alyssa for capping off this season with an All-American Honorable Mention honor," said TWU Head Coach
Jessica Ransom. "They have helped elevate this program and are true examples of what it means to be a student-athlete. Both have earned it, and I couldn't be happier for them to represent our program and university."
Rojo, in her 111 sets played, averaged 5.60 digs per set with 622 digs total on the season. She also posted a .953 reception percentage and 26 total service aces. She ranked first in the Lone Star Conference in digs per set and 10th overall in NCAA Division II. She was named the LSC Newcomer of the Year and to the All-LSC Second Team. Additionally, she received D2CCA All-South Central Region Second Team honors.
Woods played in 94 sets and recorded 315 total kills to average 3.35 kills per set. She also finished with 13 total aces and 269 total digs. On the season, she averaged 3.66 points per set. During the season, she eclipsed 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. At the conclusion of the regular season, she was named to the All-LSC First Team and to the LSC All-Academic Team. Woods also earned LSC All-Tournament Team honors.
It marks the first All-America honors for both Rojo and Woods. They become the seventh and eighth AVCA All-Americans in program history.
