DENTON, Texas (Feb. 27, 2026) - Texas Woman's Gymnastics competed in their third quad meet in the previous four events, and for back-to-back events at Kitty Magee Arena, playing host to Florida, Arizona State and Fisk. The Pioneers finished third in the team standings, snapping a streak of three straight 195-point team outings, finishing with a 194.525.
Beginning the event at vault, TWU recorded a total team score of 48.85. Sophia Isbell led the team in this event, finishing third with a 9.85 for the second consecutive meet and matching a career high for the third time.
At the uneven bars next, the Pioneers scored a total of 47.875. Brooke Ferrari led the team in this event, finishing fifth with a 9.85.
TWU scored another 48.85 team total on the beam for its third rotation. Isbell led the team in scoring here as well, setting a new career high with a 9.9. Alaina Reid matched a career high in this event with a 9.85, and Kyleigh Ghanbari set a new career best with a 9.775.
The floor routine proved to be the Pioneers' best of the meet, scoring a team total of 48.95. Isbell led the team in this event with a 9.875, completing the hat trick of matching or besting career highs in her three events.
The Pioneers finished third in the meet with a team total of 194.525. Florida took first place with a 197.7, Arizona State followed in second with a 195.475, and Fisk finished fourth with a team score of 189.25.
TWU closes the homestand March 6 with a contest against Nebraska for Senior Day. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
