DENTON, Texas (March 18, 2026) - Sophomore Kyleigh Ghanbari earned Midwest Independent Conference Performance of the Week honors after a standout performance on floor exercise at a quad meet in Tucson, Arizona on Friday, March 13.

Competing against Southeast Missouri, No. 18 Ohio State, and No. 30 Arizona, Ghanbari posted a 9.9 on floor to tie her season-high mark and lead the Pioneers on the event. Her routine helped TWU record a 194.325 team score, finishing ahead of Southeast Missouri.

This marks Ghanbari's second MIC weekly award of the season after previously earning Performance of the Week honors following TWU's meet at Centenary on February 15. In that meet, she competed in three events and captured the floor title with a 9.9.

"It was great to see Kyleigh perform at such a high level on floor this past weekend," said head coach Lisa Bowerman. "She did a beautiful routine that was extremely deserving of this honor."

The award continues a strong season for both Ghanbari and the Pioneers in conference weekly recognition.
