DENTON, Texas (March 17, 2026) - Texas Woman's STUNT sophomore Julissa Cabrera was named the Lone Star Conference Tumbler of the Week following week seven of the regular season, the conference announced Tuesday.
The award marks the third LSC weekly honor for the Pioneers this season and the first of Cabrera's career.
Cabrera, a sophomore tumbler from Denton, Texas, accumulated 98 points during the Pioneers' 3-1 weekend at the Pacific Northwest Open on March 13-14. Her performances helped Texas Woman's even its season record at 13-13 while securing its second three-win weekend of the year.
A consistent force in the tumbling category, Cabrera played a key role in the Pioneers' success throughout the event, delivering strong, reliable routines that contributed points in each matchup.
"Julissa has continued to grow week by week and has really stepped up for us in the tumbling category," said head coach Leslie Allen. "Her work ethic and confidence are showing in competition, and we're proud to see her earn her first conference honor."
TWU will next prepare for the 2026 Lone Star Conference STUNT Championship Tournament, scheduled for March 27-28.
