DENTON, Texas (March 19, 2026) - The Texas Woman's softball team (14-14, 10-6) heads south this weekend for a pair of conference matchups, beginning with St. Mary's (18-11, 10-6) on Friday at 3 and 5 p.m., followed by St. Edward's (8-19, 5-11) on Sunday at 12 and 2 p.m.
The Pioneers split a two-game doubleheader at home on Wednesday against No. 14 Oklahoma Baptist. TWU posted a season-high 20 runs and drew a program-record 13 walks in game two after falling 10-6 in the opener.
This weekend marks the 64th and 65th meetings between TWU and St. Mary's, and the 55th and 56th matchups against St. Edward's. Earlier this season, the Pioneers split with the Rattlers at Dianne Baker Field, shutting out St. Mary's 3-0 in the opener before falling 16-10 in game two. Sunday will mark the first meeting this season between TWU and St. Edward's. The Hilltoppers have won four of the last five matchups, though the Pioneers hold a 31-23 all-time series advantage.

The Pioneers are coming off a 3-1 weekend against Sul Ross State and Western New Mexico, followed by a split with No. 14 Oklahoma Baptist. Offensively, TWU has showcased its firepower with several high-scoring performances this season. Marissa Espinoza leads the team with a .387 batting average, while sophomore catcher Trinity Perry ranks seventh in the conference in fielding percentage with 151 putouts.
The Pioneers will face St. Mary's on Friday in San Antonio before traveling to Austin to take on St. Edward's on Sunday.
