DENTON, Texas (April 24, 2026) - The Texas Woman's softball team (24-24, 18-16) travels to Richardson, Texas, for their conference road finale, a doubleheader against UT Dallas (13-27, 11-21) on Sunday, April 26. First pitch is scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m. at UTD Softball Field.
Texas Woman's will face UT Dallas on Sunday for just the eighth and ninth times in program history. The Pioneers lead the all-time series 6-2 and look to continue their success. The last meeting between the two squads came in 2006, when the teams split. The same result occurred in 2005 in Richardson, Texas.

A LOOK AT THE COMETS: UTD is 12th in the LSC standings and enters the weekend after a 1-1 split with Eastern New Mexico. Prior to that series, West Texas A&M took two games in five innings each on April 17 over UT Dallas. The Comets' most recent win came in a 6-4 victory over the Greyhounds on April 19, using strong sixth and seventh innings to secure a split in Portales.

A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: Texas Woman's is eighth in the LSC standings with an 18-16 record in league play. Most recently, the Pioneers went 1-3 at home against Oklahoma Christian and Cameron. Offensively, TWU continues to search for consistency at the plate despite strong performances throughout the season. Marissa Espinoza leads the team with 163 at-bats, batting .374 with a .983 OPS, 61 hits, 42 runs and 36 RBIs. Defensively, sophomore catcher Trinity Perry ranks sixth in the conference in fielding percentage, second in caught stealing and has 246 putouts. In the circle, Randi Crawford leads the conference in ERA (1.93) and opponent batting average (.214), ranks fourth in innings pitched and strikeouts, and sits in the top 10 in wins (14).The Pioneers will look to get back on track in Richardson, close out their road schedule on a high note and improve their 11-9 road record.
TWU closes out its road schedule with a doubleheader against UT Dallas on Sunday, with games scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m.
