Dear stunt,
I never thought I would put on a pair of cheer shoes ever in my life until I first met the sport. I honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I couldn't end my sports journey just yet. The very first week I was pushed to my absolute limit, using muscles I've never used before and crying from the pain of it all. I thank God that I am not a quitter because I was able to find joy in the sport. From finding my long-life best friends to learning new skills to becoming mentally stronger through tough practices, injuries, and uncertainties, I wouldn't want it any other way. Even though stunt gave me the worst possible injury I could have during my senior year, it also gave me amazing coaches that I love dearly and respect so much. We couldn't have done anything without them, and they are beautiful examples of great leaders. The sport has truly helped me grow as a woman, and I appreciate every single opportunity. My favorite part of the sport was getting to travel to new places and play to make history, but most of all, getting to be a part of a team. I love every teammate I've ever met on each team, and they helped me survive and made me feel alive. I can't wait to see how the sport changes and grows, and how incredible TWU stunt will become. Although my sports career has come to an end, I know God has great plans for me and will help through the struggle of it all. I will always and forever love TWU stunt.
