CANYON, Texas (May 7, 2026) - In the midst of the Lone Star Conference Tournament, the Texas Woman's softball team celebrated their regular-season accomplishments at the LSC Banquet on Wednesday night, just after a 4-1 victory over the Mustangs of Western New Mexico.

Along with celebrating their first postseason win since 2017, four Pioneers were honored with All-LSC awards.

For the first time since 2013, a Pioneer, Randi Crawford, was named LSC Pitcher of the Year and earned First Team All-LSC honors for the first time in her career. Previously, she was selected to the All-Freshman Team in 2025. Junior infielder Marissa Espinoza was named First Team All-LSC, while freshman center fielder Zaryah Williams earned Third Team All-LSC honors. Additionally, sophomore catcher Trinity Perry was selected to the All-Defensive Team and received the Gold Glove Award, marking the first time since 2017 a Pioneer has earned the honor.

"All four are so deserving of these honors," said TWU Head Coach Gay McNutt. "Randi has been so steady and consistent all season, and having her catcher receive the Gold Glove Award is so fitting. Marissa and Zaryah have contributed to so many wins for us this year and are also very deserving of these all-conference honors."

In her second year with the Pioneers, Crawford continues to prove why she is one of the top pitchers in the conference. Heading into the postseason, she held a 16-6 record and led the league in ERA (1.98), shutouts (six), batting average against (.211) and strikeouts looking (34). Overall, Crawford has struck out 159 batters in 155 2/3 innings.

Leadoff second baseman Espinoza leads all Pioneers at the plate with a .379 batting average and the most at-bats in the conference (190). She also ranks in the top 10 in the conference in hits (72), runs scored (46) and stolen bases (25). Espinoza also has 10 home runs, 13 doubles and 44 RBIs, all of which lead the Pioneers. Williams follows close behind with a .372 batting average, ranking in the conference's top 20, along with 14 stolen bases. She also has 51 hits, 21 runs scored and 14 RBIs.

Defensively, Perry has proven herself as one of the top catchers in the conference throughout the season. She ranks in the top 10 in the conference in fielding percentage (.997), putouts (291) and runners caught stealing (15). She also has 24 assists and only one error in 55 starts.

The Pioneers will look to continue their momentum and rely on these key athletes as they move deeper into postseason play in Canyon.
