AUSTIN, Texas (Sept. 12, 2026) - Texas Woman's soccer continued conference play Saturday with a 4-0 road win over St. Edward's at Lewis-Chen Field.
TWU (6-0-0, 2-0-0) saw four different Pioneers find the back of the net, with Landree Cooper capping the scoring in the 85th minute with her first career goal. The victory also marked TWU's fourth consecutive shutout and sixth win all-time over St. Edward's.
The Pioneers controlled the match throughout the afternoon, outshooting the Hilltoppers (0-4-1, 0-1) 18-2 and putting eight shots on goal compared with none for St. Edward's. TWU also earned seven corner kicks while holding the Hilltoppers without a shot on target.

17': Striker opened the scoring in the 17th minute, putting the Pioneers ahead 1-0 and giving TWU an early advantage over St. Edward's.

55': Maya doubled the Pioneers' lead early in the second half, finding the back of the net off an assist from Striker to push TWU ahead 2-0.

77': Araiza added another Pioneer goal in the 77th minute, finishing off a Wade assist to extend TWU's advantage to 3-0 and put the match firmly in the Pioneers' control.

85': Cooper capped the scoring with just under five minutes remaining, finding the back of the net to give TWU a 4-0 lead and seal the shutout victory.

Graves and the Pioneer defense kept St. Edward's scoreless for the full 90 minutes. Graves recorded the clean sheet as TWU limited SEU to just two shots,neither of which were on target.

"A really important conference win on the road," Abouzar said. "We need to be able to start the first 5-10 minutes with a better sense of urgency, however I'm proud of how we were able to get a goal in the first 20 minutes of play. In the second half we put our stamp on the game. We were able to move the ball around and created some opportunities that led to goals by four different players. On top of that we limited their opportunities and didn't allow a shot on goal. We will enjoy this win and turn our focus on to WT."

The Pioneers will have another road game when they travel to Canyon to take on West Texas A&M at 7 p.m. before returning to Denton next Saturday for Senior Day against the visiting Sul Ross State Lobos.
