DENTON, Texas (Sept. 21, 2026) – The Texas Woman's volleyball team continues its road swing Tuesday, traveling to Kingsville for a Lone Star Conference matchup against Texas A&M-Kingsville inside the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center.

TWU (3-8, 0-1 LSC) will face the Javelinas (9-4, 2-0 LSC) on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.

The Pioneers enter Tuesday's contest looking to bounce back after dropping their first match of conference play against DBU in three sets.

DBU took the match 25-14, 25-16 and 25-15. The Pioneers finished with 23 kills while hitting .011 for the match.

Senior libero Alyssa Rojo continues to anchor the Pioneers defensively. Rojo has recorded 200 digs and is averaging 4.88 digs per set, which ranks third in the LSC.

Mary Grace King leads the Pioneers offensively with 133 kills and averages 3.33 kills per set, ranking sixth in the conference. King has also contributed 100 digs and 21 blocks while averaging 3.75 points per set.

TWU has also been strong at the net behind Montserrat Soto-Talavera and Trinity Blackwood. Soto-Talavera leads the LSC with 45 total blocks and averages 1.22 blocks per set, while Blackwood ranks seventh in the conference with 39 blocks and 0.98 blocks per set.

Lorena Gomez has directed the Pioneers offense with 274 assists, averaging 6.68 assists per set to rank seventh in the conference.

Texas A&M-Kingsville enters Tuesday's matchup with a 9-4 overall record and a 2-0 mark in LSC play.

The Javelinas have recorded 655 kills on 1,978 attempts this season, averaging 12.6 kills per set while hitting .187 as a team. TAMUK has also totaled 605 assists for an average of 11.6 per set.

Cambelle Brammer leads the Javelinas attack with 159 kills and averages 3.18 kills per set. Brammer ranks ninth in the LSC in kills per set and seventh in points per set at 3.63.

Natalee Rush has added 111 kills while hitting a team-best .296 among qualifying Javelinas. Rush also leads TAMUK with 42 total blocks, averaging 0.82 blocks per set.

Alayna Guerrero directs the Javelinas offense with 454 assists and an average of 8.73 assists per set, which ranks third in the LSC.

Defensively, Tayae-Renae Garcia leads the conference with 266 digs and averages 5.12 digs per set. The Javelinas have held opponents to a .150 hitting percentage this season.
