TWU basketball to host two South Central Region opponents

DENTON, Texas (Dec. 3) – The Pioneers will close out their six-game home stand with two games against NCAA South Central Region opponents this week.  TWU will face Lubbock Christian on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 7:00 p.m. before taking on UT-Permian Basin on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena.
 
The TWU Athletics department is sponsoring a "TWU Basketball Study Break" at Wednesday night's game.  Free pizza, free soft drinks, and free ice cream sandwiches will be given away to all fans while supplies last beginning at 5:30 p.m. when the Kitty Magee Arena doors open for the game against the Lady Chaps.
 
The Pioneers will also host Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night at the LCU game.  Prior to tip-off, each TWU player will be introduced along with their invited TWU faculty or staff guest that they wish to recognize.
 
On Saturday, Dec. 6, the TWU basketball team will team up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and the U.S. Army Reserves to host a "Toys for Tots" collection.  All fans that bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the "Toys for Tots" program will receive FREE admission to the Pioneers' 2 p.m. game in Kitty Magee Arena versus UT-Permian Basin.
