DENTON, Texas (Apr. 14) – The TWU basketball team will be hosting an open tryout for any interested high school seniors, junior college players or current TWU students (enrolled full-time) on Wednesday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m.  The event will take place at Kitty Magee Arena in Pioneer Hall on the campus of Texas Woman's University.
 
Junior college players must have exhausted their eligibility at their two-year institution.  Players that have not exhausted their eligibility at a junior college can attend the tryouts if they have never signed a valid NLI with another NCAA institution (this could be subject to verification via the NCAA Eligibility Center).   
 
TWU students must provide current official or unofficial transcript for verification of full-time enrollment and good academic standing.  The transcripts must be submitted to TWU basketball assistant coach Taylor High (Pioneer Hall, Suite 220).
 
Prior to the tryouts, all participants must submit the below forms by Friday, April 24 in the TWU Athletic Training office (Pioneer Hall, Room 133) or fax them to 940-898-2375 (ATTN: Nikki Sanchez).

- Physical from a licensed physician clearing them for athletic participation within the last six month
- Athletics Tryout Packet
- Sickle-cell solubility test results on file or the corresponding waiver form available
