History between Texas Woman's and Eastern New Mexico
The Pioneers have compiled an 11-8-1 record over the Greyhounds dating to the 2003 season. In the first meeting this season on Sept. 25, ENMU took a 2-0 victory. Last year TWU won both meetings, including a 1-0 victory in the conference tournament.

Last meeting of TWU and ENMU
COMMERCE, Texas (Sept. 25, 2016) – None of the season-high 27 shot attempts by Texas Woman's University made their way into the goal in a 2-0 loss to Eastern New Mexico Sunday afternoon in a game moved to Lion Soccer Field on the campus of Texas A&M-Commerce.

In addition to the new season-high in shots, the Pioneers (4-3, 0-2 LSC) held the Greyhounds (2-4-1, 1-1-0) to 10 shots of their own, also a season-best. The Pioneer compiled 11 corners compared to two from ENMU.

The weather was the determining factor in the contest time and site being changed. Moving the time up one hour from the original start was made in hopes of avoiding a late afternoon shower, but after rain drenched the TWU Soccer Field before noon to make it unplayable, it was determined that the game needed to be moved to a neutral site.

Zwilling's first career-goal a game-winner
DENTON, Texas (Oct. 16, 2016) – Rachel Peters found Cara Zwilling in front of the goal with 16 seconds remaining in the contest for a 1-0 victory for Texas Woman's University over Midwestern State Sunday afternoon on TWU Soccer Field during the annual "Kick for a Cure" game.

Zwilling's goal was her first as a Pioneer while Peters notched her team-leading third assist on the season. Samantha Jimenez tallied her sixth shutout of the year while collecting five saves. The Mustangs (7-5-2, 4-4-0 LSC) outshot the Pioneers (7-6-1, 3-5-0 LSC) 11-to-8 and had five shots on goal compared to three from TWU.
