The Mustangs hold a 13-6-3 advantage over the Pioneers dating to the 2002 season. In TWU's 2-1 win on Sept. 25, 2015, against the Mustangs, Madison Purdy set a program record for quickest goal to begin a game when she scored on an assist by Natalia Diaz 46 seconds into the contest.

DENTON, Texas (Sept. 29, 2017) - Texas Woman's University suffered a 1-0 loss to Midwestern State Friday night at TWU Soccer Field despite outshooting the Mustangs 24-to-10.
The Pioneers (3-5-2, 0-3-1 LSC) totaled 24 shots on the evening, just one short of tying a season-high, while the Mustangs (6-2, 2-1 LSC) recorded 10. TWU attempted eight shots in the first half and doubled their efforts after halftime.
Chelsea Martin and
Haley Ward each fired off seven tries with Martin tallying a team-high four on-goal attempts.
