Fayetteville, Ark. (Apr. 1, 2017) – Schyler Jones represented Texas Woman's University at the 2017 NCAA Regional competition at the University of Arkansas where she vaulted to a 9.775. Jones's regional qualification is the first since 2012 when Kayla Jones qualified and Rashanda Cannie competed as an all-around gymnast.
 
This was the last NCAA competition for the Pioneers in the 2017 season. Next week the team will head to Seattle, Washington, for the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships. TWU will compete in the second session on Friday, April 7, in the team semifinals in hopes of continuing to the team finals on Saturday, April 8. There will then be an opportunity for individual gymnasts to shine at the Individual event finals on Sunday, April 9. Gymnasts will qualify for individual event finals during the semifinal meets on Friday. In order to qualify the gymnast must place in the top five of the event.
