The Pioneers are looking for their first victory over the Orediggers in four tries. The first series occurred in 1998 and began again in 2013 through 2015, with the most recent matchup taking place at the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament where Mines defeated Texas Woman's, 3-0.

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Dec. 3, 2015) – The TWU volleyball team fell in straight sets to #19 Colorado School of Mines at the NCAA South Central Region Tournament. TWU fell, 25-20, 25-18, and 25-17, at Junell Center on the campus of Angelo State.
The Pioneers, playing without their kills and points leader senior Hillary Shaffer, played their hearts out. Shaffer, a first team all-region and all-conference selection, was injured in practice on Tuesday prior to the team's departure to San Angelo.
TWU was led by junior
Sara Oxford with nine kills while senior Joey Redwine added six kills, 19 assists and seven digs. Junior Mallory Kuehle also chipped in four kills and 10 digs while senior Torie Talkington led the game with 18 digs.

The Mavericks were picked to finish third within the RMAC this season and boast three All-RMAC selections in junior libero Taylor Woods, named the RMAC's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, senior middle blocker Hattie Gianinetti and junior outside hitter MacKenzie Edwards.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (Sept. 8, 2012) – TWU senior rightside Viktorija Jablonska recorded a triple-double for the second straight day but it wasn't enough as the Pioneers dropped their first two games of the season at the Holiday Inn Crossroads Classic. TWU fell to #24 Grand Canyon 15-25, 22-25 and 20-25 before losing a four-set game to the host Colorado Mesa, 21-25, 25-18, 26-28 and 23-25.
After recording her first career triple-double on Friday, Jablonska posted 16 kills, 18 assists and 15 digs against Colorado Mesa.

CANYON, Texas (Sept. 9, 2014) – The TWU volleyball team opened the 2014 season with two wins at the BritKare Lady Buff Classic in Canyon, TX, on Friday. The Pioneers captured a five-set win against Regis, 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 17-25, and 15-10, before sweeping New Mexico Highlands, 25-20, 25-20, and 25-19.
In the season opener against Regis, the Pioneers captured a five-set thriller behind senior Kelci Lind's career-high 14 kills. She added 19 digs on defense to record a double-double while sophomore Mallory Kuechle also posted a double-double with 10 kills and 24 digs.
