TWU suffered its first lost of the 2017 season last Friday in a 2-0 defeat at Dallas Baptist and followed that up with a 1-0 win over CSU-Pueblo for an overall record of 2-1-1. Freshman goalie Maddie Vickroy is tied for the lead in the Lone Star Conference in shutouts with three and is second in goals against average at .474. Senior midfielder Chelsea Martin and freshman forward Haley Ward are tied for fifth in the LSC in total shots with 11 apiece.

The Crimson Storm of the Great American Conference have amassed an overall record of 2-2 with wins over Oklahoma Christian and New Mexico Highlands and losses to Northeastern State and Lubbock Christian.

DENTON, Texas (Sept. 10, 2017) - Texas Woman's University benefitted from a CSU-Pueblo own goal in the 68th minute to escape with a 1-0 win Sunday afternoon on TWU Soccer Field.
A chip from Maddi Nolton to a Pioneer teammate was hit off of a defender from the ThunderWolves to roll into the TWU goal midway through the second period and proved to be the game-winner.
ThunderWolves (1-2) outshot the Pioneers (2-1-1) in the game, 11 to 10, while TWU secured six shots on goal compared to five from CSUP. The Pioneers collected eight corner kicks compared to one by the ThunderWolves.
