DENTON, Texas (Feb. 28, 2018) - Schyler Jones and Mallory Moredock of Texas Woman's University gymnastics again headed the weekly Midwest Independent Conference honors as Jones was selected as the Gymnast of the Week and Moredock was recognized with the Performance of the Week.
 
Jones was named the MIC Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season, and earned her third MIC weekly award in 2018. In a quad meet that included conference rivals Southeast Missouri and Centenary as well as Bridgeport, Jones earned a pair of first place finishes Sunday while scoring a 9.800 or above on all of her events. The senior's 9.875 performance on beam tied for the highest score of the meet and clinched first place, while her 9.800 on vault was also the top finish, and her 9.850 on beam notched second place to lead the Pioneers to the meet victory.
 
Moredock earned her third MIC weekly award with this week's MIC Performance of the Week. The senior tied for the highest score in Sunday's quad with a 9.875 routine on beam for first place. Moredock also posted a pair of 9.775's on vault and floor to direct the Pioneers to a team victory over SEMO, Centenary and Bridgeport.
