DENTON, Texas (Nov. 18, 2019) – Members of the Texas Woman's soccer team erupted in cheers when they heard the announcement and saw the bracket posting during the selection show for the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship Monday evening at a campus watch party. They had made school history by earning a trip to the NCAAs for the first time.
TWU (15-5-0) was awarded an at-large bid as the fourth seed in the South Central Region and will face No. 5 seed Dixie State (10-3-5) on Friday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. Central time in Colorado Springs, Colo. This will be the first meeting between these two sides.
University of Colorado-Colorado Springs is the host for this half of the regional, and as the top seed, earned a first-round bye. The winner of Friday's game will play UCCS on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m.
TWU has put together an impressive 2019 campaign with a program-record 15 victories and 10 shutouts. The Pioneers are led by sophomore

Lone Star Conference champion Dallas Baptist was awarded the second seed, and will play the winner of No. 3 seed Colorado School of Mines and No. 6 seed St. Edward's. The Mines/SEU match will be played on Thursday in Dallas with DBU awaiting the winner on Saturday.
The 56-team tournament field is comprised of eight regions: Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West. The third round and quarterfinal matches are set for Dec. 5-8 at on-campus sites, and the NCAA Division II College Cup will be held Dec. 12-14 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pa.
