DENTON, Texas - For the 11th time in the history of the program, the Texas Woman's University soccer program earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for its academic performance during the 2019-20 academic year. 

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.

College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster. The Pioneers were one of seven Lone Star Conference women's soccer programs to earn the distinction. 

The Pioneers, who were also honored in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018, posted a team GPA of 3.51.
