Madeline Gose shared event titles in vault with a 9.800 and floor with a 9.825, while
Daisy Woodring shared the vault title with a 9.800 and posted a season-high 9.750 on floor and
Mackenzie Balderas turned in a career-high 9.775 on beam, leading the way for the Texas Woman's University gymnastics team in a third-place finish in Sunday's Air Force quad meet.
The Pioneers posted a 191.975 score to finish second behind Air Force's 193.350 and Arizona's 194.350.
"Today was a tough day for our team in a lot of ways, but they battled to the end and finished strong on vault," said head coach
Lisa Bowerman. "They are resilient and committed and they will bounce back next week."
Woodring and Gose took two places in a three-way tie on vault, while
Maddie Griffith tied for seventh on bars with a 9.750.
Balderas' career-high mark on beam put her in a three-way tie for third with Gose and Air Force's Cam Barber, while Woodring tied for eighth with a 9.750.
On floor, Gose split the event title with Arizona's Elena Deets while
Daisy Woodring tied for seventh with a 9.750.
The Pioneers return to Kitty Magee Arena for the final home competition of the 2021 season, hosting Oklahoma and Centenary on Sunday, March 7 at 2 p.m.
