DENTON, Texas - The Texas Woman's University soccer team (3-2-0, 3-1-0) will open play Friday night at 8 p.m. at the Lone Star Conference soccer championship, opening against West Texas A&M (4-3-0, 4-1-0) in Canyon, Texas.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

• TOURNAMENT PLAY - The Pioneers were assigned the seventh seed by the Lone Star Conference and will open play against second-seed West Texas A&M. The winner of tonight's game will advance to face the Oklahoma Christian / Texas A&M-Commerce winner on Tuesday, April 6. 
• THE ALL-TIME SERIES - WTAMU holds an all-time 17-8-3 advantage in the series against the Pioneers, however, TWU enters tonight's match on a three-match winning streak - all of those matches have taken place in Denton. The Pioneers' are 0-12-2 all-time in Canyon.
• A-WARD WINNER - Senior Haley Ward is not only TWU's all-time career goal scorer - she is the team leader with two game-winning goals thus far this year.
