DENTON, Texas - Texas Woman's University basketball newcomer Agang Tac, who will compete for the Pioneers beginning in the 2021-22 academic year, will compete for South Sudan in the FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2021 Zone 5 Qualifiers. With games scheduled from July 12-17, the event features host Rwanda, Egypt, Kenya, and Uganda.
Tac, along with her sisters Acheil and Adhel, will compete for the first-ever South Sudan team in Kigali, Rwanda, as South Sudan competes to earn a spot in the FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2021, set for September 17-26 in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Tac is a graduate transfer for the Pioneers, joining the TWU program after spending the last three seasons at Texas A&M-Commerce. Last season, Tac was an all-LSC Honorable Mention selection, starting seven of 18 games. She averaged 5.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, ranking sixth in the conference in blocked shots and 14th in rebounds.
