DENTON, Texas (March 10, 2022) – Ashley Ingram, a forward for the Texas Woman's University Basketball team, adds another accolade to her freshman campaign.
On March 10, Ingram was announced as a Division II Conference Commissioner's Association Second Team All-South Central Region selection.

The
D2CCA recognizes a first and second team All-Region, with five players on each team. Players selected to the first team will advance to All-America voting. Of the 10 players recognized, Ingram was the only freshman chosen. Ingram also represented six players chosen from the Lone Star Conference, while four players represented the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The teams are selected by sports information directors from NCAA Division II South Central Region schools and conferences selected the all-region teams.
Heading into the Regional Tournament, Ingram currently leads the Pioneers in points per game with 14.5 per game and in rebounds per game with 7.1 per game. From the field, Ingram currently shoots 49.8% from the field, the highest for TWU. Ingram was also named the LSC Freshman of the Year and a member of the First Team All-LSC.
Ingram becomes the sixth D2CCA All-Region Selection in TWU program history and fifth second team selection for TWU. She marks the first All-Region selection for the Pioneers since 2017.
