DENTON, Texas (June 14, 2022) – After making the Lone Star Conference tournament for the seventh time in the last 10 seasons, the Texas Woman's University soccer team looks to build on their success, as the 2022 soccer schedule was announced on Tuesday.

"We're excited about this upcoming season," head coach Babak Abouzar said. "We feel that our non-conference schedule that we have put together will get us ready for the ultra-competitive LSC matches."

TWU will open their season on the road against two South Central Regional opponents. On August 25, the Pioneers will face the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. Then, they will travel to Denver, Colorado to play Regis University.

Following their Colorado trip, the Pioneers will return to Denton to face Oklahoma Baptist University on September 1.

Not home for long, TWU will travel to Wichita Falls, Texas on September 4 to play a non-conference match against Midwestern State University. Then, they will return home for a two-match home stand on September 8 against Harding University and on September 10 against Ouachita Baptist University.

The match against Ouachita Baptist will mark the final match of the Pioneers nonconference slate.

TWU will open LSC play on the road at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma on September 14.

The Pioneers will host their first two conference matches on September 17 against Texas A&M International University, followed by hosting Eastern New Mexico University on September 21.

Back on the road, TWU will travel to San Antonio, Texas to play St. Mary's University on September 24, followed by a short trip to Dallas, Texas to face Dallas Baptist University on September 28.

The two-match road trip will be trailed by a three-match home stand for the Pioneers. They will face the University of Texas Permian Basin (October 1), West Texas A&M University (October 8), and the University of Texas at Tyler (October 12).

After their stint in Denton, TWU will travel to Lubbock Christian University on October 15 and Angelo State University on October 22.

The Pioneers will play their final regular-season match at home on October 25 against Midwestern State University, before wrapping up the regular season on the road in Austin, Texas against St. Edward's on October 28.
