THREE POINTS
- ROAD DUBS: TWU is 1-0 in their road LSC games, after beating Oklahoma Christian 1-0 on Sept. 14. In LSC action, St Mary's is 0-1 on their home field, losing to St. Edward's 1-0 on Sept. 14. Last time the Pioneers met the Rattlers at Sigma Chi Beta Field in San Antonio in 2019, TWU defeated the Rattlers 2-0.
- STRONG DEFENSE: In their last match, the Pioneers held Eastern New Mexico scoreless until the 74th minute. TWU's backline also helped limit the Greyhounds shot opportunities. The Pioneers goalkeeper Morgan Sherman only faced six shots on goal and made five saves. TWU's defense will be key in limiting the Rattlers opportunities. St. Mary's has scored 25 goals this season, so look for the strength of TWU's backline to be important in Saturday's match.
- OFFENSIVE ATTACK: Currently, the Pioneers are led in offensive opportunities by freshman Bri Luna. Luna currently has one goal this season and will look to score her second this Saturday. While Luna leads in shots, Keely Chapman and Dylann Vollaro are tied for most shots on goal, with seven each. Chapman and Vollaro also each have one goal on their resumes this season, and they will look to connect with the back of the net against the Rattlers.
