BACK AT IT
  • OPPORTUNITIES: In their last game, the Pioneers outshot their opponent 19-8, but they only put one of those 19 shots on frame. They had the looks on goal but were unable to finish them at the net. Today, against the Mustangs, the Pioneers will look to take advantage of all their opportunities.
  • SIMILAR OPPONENTS: The Pioneers and the Mustangs both played the Colorado School of Mines and Regis University on the road in their opening weekends. Against Colorado School of Mines, TWU lost 4-0, while MSU lost 5-0. Against Regis, TWU tied 1-1, while MSU lost 1-0. Today's match would mark the first win of 2022 for either team.
  • LOOK BACK: In their last meeting the Pioneers lost to MSU 2-1. In that game, the Pioneers led 1-0 for most of the match until the Mustangs scored a game tying goal right at the end of regulation. MSU won on a golden goal in extra time. The Pioneers will look to rewrite the end from last year and win today.
