DENTON, Texas (Nov. 28, 2023) – In this week's national polls, the Texas Woman's basketball team remained ranked in the Top 15.

Prior to this week's releases, TWU (6-1) dropped their Thanksgiving week contest to Henderson State on the road.

On the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Coaches Poll, the Pioneers were ranked 14th, after previously being ranked ninth.  This week, TWU came in at No. 10 on the D2CSC National Poll, which is voted on by the media, after being ranked sixth last week.

The Pioneers held steady at No. 1 on the D2CSC South Central Regional Poll, topping Colorado School of Mines by three points. Colorado Mesa rounded out the Top Three in the region with a 6-1 record.

Regis remained the lone South Central opponent on the WBCA Top 25 Poll – they were ranked No. 24. On the D2CSC National Poll, Regis was receiving votes; however, Colorado School of Mines joined TWU on the Top 25 Poll, coming in at No. 16.

This week, the Pioneers will open Lone Star Conference action on the road. They will meet Midwestern State on Thursday, Nov. 30 and Cameron on Saturday, Dec. 2.

"We are looking forward to starting LSC play this week," TWU Head Coach Beth Jillson said. "After a tough and exciting non-conference schedule, we are ready to apply our growth to the LSC games. I am proud of how committed our team is to growth and bringing their best in every opportunity."
