DENTON, Texas (March 11, 2023) – Senior Day in Kitty Magee Arena brings feelings of joy, excitement and nostalgia. On Sunday, March 11, the Texas Woman's gymnastics team will celebrate their seven seniors during their final home meet of the regular season against Florida, NC State and Washington.
The Pioneers will begin march-in at 1 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena for their final meet of the 2023 regular season, as they look ahead to the post season.
TWU was last at home on Feb. 26 against West Virginia. In their last three meets, the Pioneers have set season highs, and they will look to continue the trend on Sunday.

MEET DAY – BEST DAY
- KEEP THE TREND ROLLING: In their last three meets, the Pioneers have scored season-high overall scores. Most recently, on the road at the Rose City Classic, the Pioneers scored a 195.650 against Centenary. TWU also scored a season-high on the uneven bars, a 48.900. The Pioneers will look to maintain the season-high trend as they close out the regular season.
- A LOOK AT THE OTHER TEAMS: On Sunday, TWU will be hosting Florida, NC State and Washington. No. 25 Washington most recently competed in a quad meet against Cal, George Washington and Louisiana State and scored a 196.000. No. 3 Florida last competed at Oklahoma on Friday, March 3 and lost to the Sooners, scoring a 197.700. NC State competed on Saturday, March 4 against Rutgers at home, winning the meet with a 197.225.
- LEADERS LAST MEET: On bars in their last meet, the Pioneers were led by Brooke Ferrari with a 9.825. Daisy Woodring, Madeline Gose and Maddie Griffith topped the Pioneer leaderboard on vault, all scoring 9.800s. On floor, Woodring matched her career-high to lead the Pioneers with a 9.850. Steeling King led the Pioneers on beam with a 9.825.
