DENTON, Texas (Sept. 5, 2023) – The Texas Woman's soccer team will look to add another win to their record as they host East Central on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Soccer Park for a non-conference matchup. 

The win over Missouri Southern on Thursday night left the Pioneers hungry for more. In Tuesday's game, the Pioneers will look to extend their winning streak against the Tigers to five consecutive wins as TWU leads the all time series 8-5-1.

A LOOK BACK

Last time these two teams faced each other was in 2019, and TWU took the win with a massive score of 5-0. The Pioneers led the shots column 14 to 3 in their dominating victory. 

The Pioneers have not been defeated by East Central since 2010, and they will look to defend their 5-3 home record against the Tigers.

Freshman Alyssa Striker, who gave the Pioneers the victory in the last game with her game winning goal in the 81st minute, will be looking to add more goals to her individual stats and lead TWU to another win. 

While the Pioneers come into Tuesday's game with a 2-1 win over Missouri Southern State, the Tigers took their second loss of the season on Sept. 2 against Angelo State (4-0) in San Angelo, Texas.
