DENTON, Texas (Jan. 22, 2024) – For the third time this season, Ashley Ingram has earned a Lone Star Conference Player of the Week honor.

In the past week, Ingram led the Pioneers to two straight LSC wins, as the Pioneers defeated Texas A&M Kingsville and No. 19 Texas A&M International. After averaging 24 points and 10 rebounds over the two games, Ingram was named the LSC Offensive Player of the Week.

On Thursday, Jan. 16, in TWU's win over TAMUK, Ingram led the Pioneers offensively with 26 points and seven rebounds, as she went 50% from the field. Ingram then followed up her 26-point performance with a double-double on Saturday, Jan. 20 against TAMIU – 22 points and 13 rebounds. Her stat line on Saturday represented her ninth double-double of the season. Not only did she excel offensively, but she also defended well, grabbing two steals and recording two blocks in the win. On her way to 22 points, Ingram went 7-10 from the field and 8-9 from the free throw line.

The Pioneers recorded their third Top 25 win of the season with their win over No. 19 TAMIU. Additionally, they held the Dustdevils, who ranked fifth in the NCAA Division II in scoring, to just 59 points.

Ingram's stats continue to elevate her on the TWU program record lists. She now ranks sixth all-time in points with 1,170 and counting. Additionally, she also moved up to fifth in blocks on TWU's All-Time List with 68 career blocks and counting. 

In the NCAA Division II, Ingram currently ranks third in field goal percentage, averaging 63.1% per game. She also ranks seventh in double-doubles with nine.

"Ashley continues to be a consistent leader for us on both ends of the floor," TWU Head Coach Beth Jillson said. "She brings her best to the court every day and works to always put her team in a position to win. She is very deserving of this weekly honor."

This marks Ingram's third Player of the Week honor of the season and eighth of her career. The honor also represents the Pioneers' fourth Player of the Week honor of the season.
