DENTON, Texas (Jan. 4, 2024) – After the final two games of 2023, the Texas Woman's basketball team remained in the Top 25 on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association National Poll.
TWU (10-3, 4-1) dropped two games before the new year and was ranked No. 18 on the
WBCA Top 25 Poll on Jan. 2.
From the South Central Region, Colorado School of Mines moved up to No. 9, as they are 11-1 on the season and have only lost to TWU. Texas A&M International also entered the Top 25 this week at No. 25.
From the LSC, UT Tyler was receiving votes in the poll.
Grand Valley State remained No. 1 on this week's Top 25 with a 10-1 record. Ashland sits at No. 2, and Gannon remained at No. 3.
The D2CSC Polls were not released this week.
TWU returns to action today against UAFS at 2 p.m., and then, they will meet Oklahoma Christian at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6.
