DENTON, Texas (Oct. 12, 2024) – The Texas Woman's soccer team earns their third total draw of the year and second straight one in a physical match with Texas A&M International on Saturday night. The scoreless battle at Pioneer Soccer Park Pioneers felt like a missed opportunity for the Pioneers as they were the aggressor in tonight's matchup but unable to convert on scoring opportunities.
TWU (5-2-3, 1-1-3) led in the stat sheet tonight in terms of offensive possession and production compared to TAMIU (3-4-4, 2-2-2), who was able to keep the Pioneers out of the back of the net despite not scoring themselves. The Pioneers outshot the Dustdevils 18-6, with six shots on goal and five corner kick opportunities.

FROM HEAD COACH BABAK ABOUZAR
"It was a tough result today," Head Coach Babak Abouzar said. We played well and I felt like we did enough to get three points, but at the end of the day, you have to score goals. We have to have a desire in front of goal to be clinical and find the back of the net. With that being said, I'm really proud of our defensive effort and our ability to get another shutout. Amanda made a great save for us late in the game to keep things scoreless."
