DENTON, Texas (Oct 26, 2024) – The Texas Woman's soccer team will host Texas Permian Basin today, at 1 p.m. for Senior Day. TWU is seventh in the standings, while UTPB is 12th.
This match will be TWU's sixth home game this season as they take on the Falcons after a road loss to Dallas Baptist on Wednesday night. The two teams will match up for the 11th time as the Pioneers lead the series 8-2. In their last encounter in Denton in 2022, UTPB emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over the Pioneers. Last season, the Pioneers got their revenge with a 1-0 victory in Odessa, Texas.

UTPB enters this matchup with the Pioneers with a 2-2-1 away record as they aim to get that third road victory today at Pioneer Soccer Park.

A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU is coming off a tough 3-0 loss against Dallas Baptist on Wednesday night, marking just their second road loss of the season. The Patriots began the match with a fast pace, making their impact early and often. Prior to this defeat, Amanda Farris and the Pioneers had achieved five consecutive shutouts. They are looking to return to that level of performance today as they face the visiting Falcons.
