RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (March 28, 2024) – Junior
Ashley Ingram adds another historical accolade to her resume this season.
After being named the D2CCA South Central Regional Most Valuable Player and First Team All-South Central Region, Ingram advanced to the D2CCA All-American ballot.
The D2CCA honors three teams and one honorable mention team of All-Americans with five players per team.
For the first time in program history, TWU celebrates a player named to the
D2CCA All-American list.
Ashley Ingram was named to the 2023-24 First Team All-America list.
Ingram, who has helped lead a historic season for the Pioneers, is currently averaging 18.2 points per game, which leads TWU. She is currently shooting 59.8% from the field, which ranks fourth in the nation. She also leads TWU in rebounds, averaging 8.8 rebounds per game. Ingram averages seven defensive rebounds per game, which ranks 18th in the nation. On the season, she has 19 double doubles, which ranks fifth in NCAA Division II. Ingram also ranks first in NCAA Division II in free throw attempts and is shooting 83.5% from the free throw line.
In her junior season, Ingram has broken the record for most points in a single season and most rebounds in a single season. On Monday, she broke a new career points mark – she currently has 1,515 career points, which is 16 points away from third all-time in program history. She currently has 730 rebounds on her career – ranking third all time in program history. Her 274 assists ranks sixth in program history, and her 77 blocks currently ranks fourth.
Ingram and the Pioneers will look to cap off a historical season with National Championship tomorrow night.
